The Greater Friendship Baptist Church is a Word-Centered Ministry focused on evangelizing the sinner, equipping and empowering the saints and providing wholesome and holistic ministry to our community as well as the world.

As Jesus Christ loves ALL PEOPLE, our purpose is to reach out in love to all humanity impacting the Metropolitan area of Louisville with the WORD OF GOD.

As Christ Ministers to the TOTAL PERSON, we are in the pursuit of making “THE SHIP” a place of love, joy and peace.  Our desire is to address the spiritual, mental and physical needs of man in a way that is pleasing to

JESUS CHRIST.

As Christ demonstrates an EXCELLENT SPIRIT, we commit ourselves to the same mind and same EXCELLENT SPIRIT.  Our desire is to be the best, do the best and give the best.  We believe that what God has for us is for us.

Our foundation is the WORD OF GOD and we believe in its infallibility.  We believe we can do what it says we can do, be who it says we can be and have what it says we can have.
